Gate 1 reviews held on February 14
On February 14, TIM Program held Gate 1 reviews for the winter semester. Gate 1 is the second stage of the Gate reviews. Students who get a green in Gate 0, which is the first stage of gate reviews are invited to present Gate 1. Gate 1 is an elaboration of the information presented in Gate 0 and emphasizes on data collection and analysis. 27 students presented Gate 1 this semester and also shared the progress they had made after Gate 0. Students also got some great feedback from the faculty that would be useful for them to acquire the results. A student also needs to submit a gate 1 document about 6-7 weeks after the gate 1 presentation. The document is the final research document that includes everything, i.e. from the objective of the research to the results of the research. TIM project and thesis hold a great importance in the TIM Program because they decide the level of expertise students have gained in their chosen domain of research.
